The Daring Discoverer’s is located on the ground floor of the main building of the nursery alongside the toddler room (Active Adventurer’s). The aim of the Daring Discoverer’s is to allow the children an area in which they can move around freely, safely and in which they can start to discover the different environments through various activities which are both child and adult led. We follow your child’s routine and requirements regarding their sleep, dietary requirements and comforters – which helps your child settle into Nursery life.
At this stage in your child’s development we aim to introduce a small amount of structure to their day, this includes story time, sitting down for snacks and meal times. Having this routine helps in preparing them as they take their first steps towards becoming a toddler.
The Daring Discoverer’s also has the advantage of being linked to the Active Adventurer’s room allowing the children to see what it’s like in the toddler room and get to know the staff which will help when they move rooms. Also the Discoverer children have access to free-flow play allowing them the choice of if they want to play inside or out as well as the choice of what activities they would like to do, which include arts and crafts, sand and water play.
